R&K Consulting (RICK Consulting)

"RIK" entered the market in 1992 as the assembler of the computer equipment and the distributor of component parts. However from the middle of the 90th owners of "RIK" began to show interest and in other spheres – then the group had the investment committee. So, as for other IT projects, its shareholders invested, for example, in creation of the company which is engaged in offshore programming, Selectosa Systems. Further it was a part of Mirantis, one of the largest players in the Russian offshore market. R&K also stands behind such brands as Airton and Wiener Computer. In 2003 RICK Consulting was created. It is interesting that about three years ago "RIK" left the market of deliveries and distribution of the computer equipment, having become, thus investment company. At the same time it is interested not only a segment of IT of which about 50% of its investments are the share now, at R&K there are, for example, developer projects in the field of construction. As for the hi-tech sector, the company invested in due time in creation of the American company which is engaged in collection software for banks (on collecting of debts) which then was resold. In 2008 purchase of the rights to the personnel HRB system became the large announcement. Besides, then R&K invested in large online project.

At the same time R&K announced closing of RICK Consulting company which core business was connected with JD Edwards (we will remind that this ERP system belongs to Oracle now). In total the company signed 7 contracts for implementation, and in 2005 RICK Consulting even won first place in this direction among the Russian partners of Oracle. She was engaged also in Oracle e-Business Suite – as the passing direction. The difficult personnel situation in Russia in practice of JD Edwards and lack of precise plans from Oracle on its development became a basic reason of closing of RICK Consulting.
