Types of certification:

Mandatory Product Certification

• A procedure aimed at confirming the conformity of products and services with the mandatory requirements of legislation in the field of technical regulation of each particular State where the products are produced or where they are planned to be operated.

According to the results of certification, the applicant is issued a certificate of conformity for the manufactured products. Products delivered to European Union markets (also USA, Asia, etc.) must meet all quality standards applied in these territories, be safe for consumers, property and the environment.

Voluntary certification

• a procedure initiated by the applicant. As a rule, the applicant himself indicates the standard or rules for compliance with which certification, testing, conformity verification will be carried out.

The rules and procedures of the voluntary certification scheme are determined by the certification body, but these procedures are generally based on experience and international recommendations in this area.

The decision to pass voluntary certification is made by the applicant and is usually related to issues of competitiveness in the market and the promotion of goods to the market, especially applicable to international markets.
