2023: Insight Investment Group bought RNL Leasing

On August 11, 2023, it became known about the sale of RNL Leasing (part of the French financial group RCI Bank & Services; the company is a subsidiary of the French automaker) of the Russian investment group Insight.

As emphasized in the Insight group, the acquisition of RNL Leasing was made as part of a strategy to create a leasing holding that unites companies with different competencies.

The Instait Group of Companies recalled that they already work in all segments of financial leasing of passenger cars: SMEs, corporate parks, taxis, rental, dealers, car sharing. In terms of funding, the company is going to independently raise funds in the market.

According to information on the company's website, it leases passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles. This is the most massive, liquid and rapidly growing leasing segment. He is also the most competitive, writes Kommersant.

The financial terms of the sale of RNL Leasing to Insight Group were not disclosed. Information about the change of ownership of the lysine "daughter" Renault was entered in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL) on August 10, 2023. It also follows from the register that the nominal value of RNL Leasing is 35 million rubles.

By August 2023, Insight's portfolio includes a company operating in the equipment leasing segment - DeltaLeasing (formerly Siemens Finance), as well as a company in the agricultural, road and construction equipment segment - Fleet Finance (formerly John Deer Financial LLC).[1]
