History
2019: Sabre Corporation became the owner of Radixx
On October 21, 2019 TAdviser knew that Sabre Corporation, the supplier of technologies for the world industry of tourism and travel, announced acquisition of Radixx company, software provider for aviation retail which has strong positions in a segment lou-kost transportations.
Estimated price of Radixx was about $110 million, including payments to creditors in the form of cash. It is expected that in 2019 income of Radixx will be about $20 million. Sabre predicts payback of the transaction in the medium term, but the effect of it can be slightly corrected by the specified indicators of earning per share of Sabre in 2020 because of the expected additional investments into a fast-growing segment lou-kost air transportation. It is expected that acquisition of Radixx will have an insignificant impact on financial results of Sabre for complete 2019.
In the last five years the passenger traffic of cheap airlines grew twice quicker in comparison with traditional carriers and for October, 2019 makes about 30% of the world market of passenger air transportation. Sabre expects that the transaction on acquisition of Radixx will allow the company to offer the fast-growing market lou-kost transportations the advanced technological capabilities for retail, distribution and accomplishment of trade operations. Flagship products of Radixx for lou-kost airlines are the system of service of passengers (PSS) and the engine of online armoring (IBE).
Having integrated technology portfolios, Sabre and Radixx will propose the complete solutions created based on modern technologies and deep examination for all players of the market – from cheap to network carriers.
Radixx technologies and client portfolio lou-kost airlines in combination with examination, scale of business and global opportunities of Sabre will allow us to propose the best alternative solutions to budget carriers which are felt that their PSS and other technological capabilities are limited. This transaction will also allow Sabre to expand quickly the geographical presence and the list of services for such important and fast-growing segment of the aviation industry, noted Sean Menke, CEO Sabre
