2024: Service hacking. Hackers posted an invitation to Kobzon's concert on the website
At the end of April 2024, the RedKassa ticket service was hacked. Hackers involved in the cyber attack posted an invitation to the concert of Joseph Kobzon, who died back in 2018, on the website.
The first to report on SMS mailing on behalf of RedKassa was the Telegram channel "Caution, news." Attached to the post are several screenshots of messages from RedKassa.
AtWe invite you to Kobzon's concert in Crocus Hall. Admission is free! - said in each of them. |
RedKassa users began receiving fake invitations to Joseph Kobzon's concert at Crocus City Hall on April 27, 2024. On the same day, the ticket service on its page on the social network Vkontakte"" asked customers to ignore SMS messages of this content and said that the company "solves the situation with the malfunction of the site." On April 27, 2024, the RedKassa website did not work for some time.
The performer Joseph Kobzon died at the end of August 2018, and Crocus City Hall does not work after a terrible terrorist attack and fire, in which more than 140 people died. The Afghan wing of the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist organization banned in Russia claimed responsibility for the attack.
Cybersecurity expert Anna Mitrokhina, in a conversation with the Moscow Region Today publication, commenting on the RedKassa hack, said that such cyber attacks are carried out in order to steal user personal data.
Citizens leave their personal data, which are indicated when buying a ticket, so that it comes in electronic form. This is exactly what fraudsters need, - Mitrokhina is sure. |
According to her, in the future, attackers, having obtained the personal data of Russians, use the knowledge of social engineering to draw up schemes that ultimately lead to their enrichment.[1]
