Research Institute of Ear, Throat, Nose and Speech (St. Petersburg)

The Institute is a federal state institution directly subordinate to the Ministry of Health. In St. Petersburg, this is the only parent institute on the problem. All otorhinolaryngological institutions of the country are subordinate to it.

Director of the Institute - Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Yuri Konstantinovich Yanov is the Chief Otorhinolaryngologist of St. Petersburg.

The main task of the institute is to provide highly qualified and high-tech specialized medical care for diseases of the ear, pharynx, larynx, nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses and for speech pathology. The Institute conducts basic and applied research in this field. The Institute also carries out methodological work and advanced training of otorhinolaryngologists and speech therapists of both St. Petersburg and the whole country.
