2023: Construction of a drone production plant in Rostov-on-Don for 0.5 billion rubles
At the end of November 2023, the Governor of the Rostov Region Vasily Golubev spoke about the construction of an unmanned aerial vehicle production plant in the region. This is a project of the Crimean company Roboavia. According to Golubev, the company plans to produce up to 1.1 thousand aircraft-type UAVs per year. the volume of investments in production will be about 500 million rubles.

Among the promising developments of "Roboavia" Kiselev named the reconnaissance drone "Sarych-2" and the attack drone "Surprise." The latter is made in the form of a quadcopter, which can be folded and transferred in a backpack.
Sarych-2 was created according to the flying wing scheme. The drone was tested in the Black Sea Fleet. The device is equipped with an electric motor, its take-off weight is 14 kg, wingspan is 3.1 meters, maximum flight altitude is 5 km, speed is up to 108 km/h.[1]
