2024: Rosapteka comes under the control of the Pharmland pharmacy chain

The pharmacy chain "Rosapteka" comes under the management of the company "Farmland." This became known in early September 2024. The deal includes the transfer of all 18 pharmacies located in Moscow to the management of one of the largest pharmacy chains in Russia. This decision is due to the desire of the owners of Rosapteka to focus on the development of another network owned by them - premium pharmacies "Unifarma."

Negotiations on the transfer of assets have been going on for a long time. Representatives of Rosapteka confirmed that earlier they had repeatedly received proposals to transfer network management. However, only now a final decision has been made in favor of strengthening the company's presence in the premium market through the Unifarma network. The letter says: "We have decided to strengthen our presence in the premium segment and continue the development of the Unifarma pharmacy chain. This will allow us to open new pharmacies, improve service and assortment. "

Pharmacy chain "Farmland" takes control of "Rosapteka"

The deal between Rosapteka and Farmland has not yet been completed, and changes to the SPARK-Interfax database have not yet been reflected. However, the transfer of assets has already been agreed, and Farmland plans to integrate pharmacies into its network.

Pharmland, registered in Ufa in 1997, ranks ninth in the ranking of the largest pharmacy chains in Russia in 2023. As of early 2024, the network had 2,198 locations nationwide, according to Vademecum. The head of the company is Adela Kalmetyeva, who, together with Oleg Murov, owns several legal entities of the same name.

For Farmland, the deal with Rosapteka will be another step in strengthening its position in the Moscow market. In 2021, the chain has already acquired 20 Floria pharmacies, which allowed it to enter the capital market. In the future, in 2022, Farmland planned to buy the Economy network, but the deal was suspended. However, the chain continued to expand, acquiring 144 pharmacies of OrenLek in July 2022.[1]
