The Finnish company Rovio Entertainment, the developer of the cult game Angry Birds, recorded an operating loss in the amount of 13 million euros at the end of 2015.

Rovio revenue in 2015 made 142 million euros that is 10% less, than in 2014 (158 million euros). Revenue of the developer was reduced the third year in a row.

The company said that it does not concern income from sale of games, it grows the sixth year in a row. In 2015 80% of total revenue were the share of it, reported in the company.

Rovio explained deterioration in financial performance with the fact that 2015 was difficult for the company, partly because of "considerable investments into its future". The press service of Rovio reminded that in May, 2016 in film distribution should leave animation fil Angry Birds. The Wall Street Journal newspaper noted that the loss can be connected with the fact that the company spent a large sum for this project.

In August, 2015 the Angry Birds developer for the second time less than in a year announced mass staff reduction. The company announced dismissal of 260 employees that it makes about 38% of a total quantity. Before the company announced staff reduction in October, 2014 — for 16% (130 people).
