2024: Entering the Russian market
The Chinese company Rox Motor in December 2024 officially announced its entry into the Russian market with the Rox 01 hybrid crossover, formerly known as Polestone 01. The first batch of cars with a five-year guarantee or 150 thousand kilometers of mileage is already heading to Russia.
According to "Motor.ru," the company presented two versions of the car: a seven-seater Family Edition worth ₽9,17 million and a six-seater Business Lounge Edition for ₽9,38 million. The Black Edition version with black emblems and disks is also available at a price of ₽9,23 million and ₽9,45 million, respectively.
Deliveries of cars are organized from the BAW plant in the Chinese city of Qingdao. The Russian distributor plans to create three spare parts warehouses in different regions of the country, and by 2026-2027 expand the lineup with the Rox 02 and Rox 03 crossovers.
The Rox 01 is a 5295 mm long full-size all-rounder with a 3010 mm wheelbase. The car is equipped with a hybrid power plant consisting of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors with a total power of 476 hp. and torque of 740 Nm.
The declared average fuel consumption is 7.95 liters per 100 km, the total range reaches 1300 km. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 5.5 seconds. The power plant can operate in three modes: hybrid, with the priority of internal combustion engines or electric motors.
Since December 2024, the company has been introducing a system for controlling cars that are not intended for the Russian market. When such machines are detected outside China , all three screens in the cabin - a 12.3-inch instrument panel, a 15.7-inch center display and a 15.6-inch entertainment screen for the second row - will be remotely disabled.
The representative of the brand clarified that cars imported into Russia before December 2024 are not subject to the blocking system. The company also intends to limit the supply of cars through parallel import channels.[1]
