2025: Strike of the Russian Armed Forces on the company's oil depot near Odessa

On the night of August 18, 2025, Russian troops again hit the oil and gas infrastructure in the Odessa region. This time, the target of the strike was the Svitanok Oil Trade oil depot, owned by the Azerbaijani company SOCAR Energy Ukraine. Its facilities are used, among other things, for storing and transporting fuel in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a military conflict with Russia. The transshipment point came under the control of SOCAR in 2017 and plays a significant role in the oil transport infrastructure of Ukraine.

Judging by the personnel from the places, as a result of several strikes, a significant part of the fuel tanks, as well as technical facilities of the oil depot, were damaged.

Part of the company's products is supplied to the Chuguevsky refinery in the Kharkiv region. Several strikes on it occurred on July 5, 2025, as a result of which a fire was recorded at the enterprise.

Since 2022, SOCAR Energy Ukraine filling station storage facilities have been used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine for decentralized fuel storage in the context of regular strikes by the RF Armed Forces on larger facilities.
