History

2021: CAE bought Sabre AirCentre for $392.5 million

On October 28, 2021, Sabre announced the sale of the Sabre AirCentre flight control software development unit to CAE for $392.5 million. The perimeter of the transaction included the Sabre AirCentre portfolio of products, relevant technologies and intellectual property, as well as a team of AirCentre specialists. Completion of the transaction is expected in the first quarter of 2022 and depends on compliance with normal conditions and regulatory approval.

The acquisition of Sabre AirCentre will allow CAE to expand the reach of its client base, not limited to pilot training, and approve the company as a technological leader in the growing market of leading digital flight and crew solutions in the industry.
