Salo is a Belarusian company that has developed the application of the same name for simultaneous video recording and screen demonstration. With the help of the service, the user in real time can record at the same time himself and everything that he sees on his smartphone, and then send the video to any messenger or social network.
History
2021: Attracting $600,000 investment
September 23, 2021 it became known about investing in Salo. The Ukrainian foundation Adventures Lab invested the most in this project. Digital Future, TA Ventures, Snap Engineering Director Yuri Monastyrshin, Belka Technologies co-founder Yuri Mazanik and others also took part in the deal.
The Salo team intends to spend the attracted investments on technical refinement of the application, as well as on marketing and promotion of the application. The estimated value of the startup and other terms of the investment transaction are not disclosed.
By September 23, 2021, the Salo application is at the stage of open testing, but is already available in the App Store for download to everyone. Influencers who participate in the test have already collected more than 1 million views of videos made at Salo.
The application will be available worldwide, but priority at the time of launch will be English-speaking countries: USA, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, as well as Southeast Asian countries: South Korea, Vietnam, Japan.
In a conversation with the Dev.by edition the co-founder and the CEO of Salo who wished not to reveal the name noted that before creation of a startup the long research on communications between people as well as at the expense of what tools it can be improved was carried out. Several basic hypotheses were formulated, which were confirmed by the results of interviewing different social groups. They also collected analytical information and conducted a superficial study.[1]
