Salute (Kuibyshev mechanical plant)

JSC Salyut - The Kuibyshev mechanical plant is formed by the Resolution state treasury bills of the USSR on December 25, 1941 for production of bronekorpus of the IL-2 airplane and an armored protection of other types of airplanes on the areas of the plant constructed in 1938 by UOS NKVD for service of construction of the Kuibyshev water-engineering system.

Staff of plants No. 125 of Ordzhonikidze of Podolsk, Izhora and Taganrog boiler, evacuated with the necessary equipment, the equipment, the tool and materials became a basis of the enterprise according to the resolution.

In 1941-45, being in a stage of formation and development, the plant produced about 20 thousand bronekorpus of the IL-2 attack plane and necessary quantity of an armored protection for other airplanes of the Air Force and the VTR of the USSR for what it was awarded the order the Red Star.

Upon termination of the Second World War the plant switched to peace products and began to release nodes of the equipment for mines by request of Minugolprom. Later, since 1948 the plant made oil and fuel-servicing trucks on the chassis of cars, further - KKR-2 potato harvesters, nodes of the beet-harvesting SKEM-3 combine, sorters, kopnitel, connecting rods to the Belarus tractor, the wide dozhdevalny machines "Volzhanka", other agricultural machinery and spare parts to them and also the body of engines of solid fuel for the paraborne and gradoboyny systems.
