2024: Transfer to the ownership of Sinco Group of Companies

The Sinco group of companies, controlled by Samara businessman Eduard Mnatsakanyan, acquired a sanatorium named after V.P. Chkalov in Samara. The deal to buy one of the city's oldest wellness centers was completed in early October 2024.

The new owner plans to place the Medgard medical center in the buildings of the sanatorium. This will be the tenth institution of this network in the Samara region.

Sanatorium named after V.P. Chkalov

As part of the transaction, Sinco Group acquired all the buildings of the sanatorium, including Sokolov's historical summer cottage, with the exception of one building, which was previously bought by another investor. The exact amount of the transaction was not disclosed, but representatives of the company note that it is comparable to the cost of building a new medical center "Medgard."

The new owner plans to significantly modernize the sanatorium. In particular, changes will be made to the field of medical equipment, the improvement of buildings will be carried out, the material and technical base will be updated and the range of medical services will be expanded. Particular attention will be paid to improving the service and introducing new technologies, including non-medical ones.

The cardiorehabilitation department, which is the only center for recovery from heart operations in Samara, will not only be preserved, but also strengthened and expanded. In addition, it is planned to create a multidisciplinary clinic on the basis of the sanatorium, which is the standard for all medical centers of the Medgard network.

Representatives of the Sinco Group of Companies emphasize that the implementation of the project will lead to the creation of new jobs and attract investments in the region. The strategic plan for the development of the center is under development, but it is already obvious that the sanatorium is waiting for significant transformations.

Information on the sale of the buildings of the Chkalov sanatorium appeared in the spring of 2022. At that time, the value of assets was estimated at about ₽500 million.[1]
