The Indian company Sapience Analytics founded in 2000 develops the software allowing to increase labor productivity of employees, monitoring how they use the computers, tablets, smartphones and other personal electronics at work. Sapience says that their technology serves not for "control" of workers, and for "education".
2020: Investigation concerning Barclays bank because of shadowing employees
The British Management of the commissioner according to information (Information Commissioner’s Office, ICO) in August, 2020 initiated investigation concerning Barclays bank on suspicion that the financial organization performed shadowing employees using the software.
The management of Barclays used software for monitoring of production of Sapience Analytics company for tracking of that, what is the time employees will see off out of a workplace and what is the time they spend for accomplishment of tasks.
The program was used for 18 months for the analysis of anonymous data on work of personnel, however in February of this year in software there was an additional function allowing the management to trace individual employees.
After information on this practice leaked out into the press, the bank announced that it refuses collecting of personified.
2017: Investments of Credit Suisse
At the end of August, 2017 it became known of investments of Credit Suisse into Sapience Analytics company. The volume of investments does not reveal. Money which was provided by the NEXT Investor investment fund entering into bank among other things will go for transfer of the headquarters of Sapience from India to the USA.
The portfolio manager of NEXT Investors Greg Grimaldi who joined Sapience the board says that technologies of the company in more degree are necessary for financial institutions which "need to be more smart in deployment of resources and distribution of workflows".

Credit Suisse also reported that heads more than 70 Sapience companies clients began to make more reasoned decisions and increased efficiency of personnel thanks to tools of vendor.
Names of clients in Sapience are not revealed, but say that among them — four companies entering the list of the largest Fortune Global 200 and also five IT companies of 50 leaders and more than 40 representatives of small and medium business in information technology field, engineering, finance and business process optimization.[1]
