"Sheriff" — the largest commerce and industry holding in the unrecognized Dnestr Moldavian Republic (DMR).
Owners
Co-owners of Sheriff, the former militiamen Victor Gushan and Ilya Kazmaly, founded holding in 1993.
"Sheriff" was always considered as close to the first president of Transnistria Igor Smirnov directing the unrecognized republic from 1993 to 2011. As wrote the Kommersant Power magazine, business of Sheriff is obliged by the success to unprecedented customs privileges (the customs of Transnistria all the time of presidency of Igor Smirnov was headed by his eldest son Vadim).
In structures of Sheriff the second and third presidents of PMR Evgeny Shevchuk and Vadim Krasnoselsky worked.
Activities
The holding develops own retail network, trades in oil products and several gas stations manage, sell cars, its owners possess the only Interdnestrcom mobile operator in PMR, one of the largest banks — Agroprombank.
As stated on the website of the Sheriff group, for 2012 entering into her companies created more than a third (37%) of the Dnestr economy and provided 32% of tax revenues in the budget of PMR.
For 2015 in holding more than 13 thousand people, or 17% of all busy citizens in economy of the unrecognized republic work.
