Ship-building Star complex

The limited liability company "The ship-building Star complex is founded on December 17, 2015.

The ship-building Star complex – the project, strategically important for the Far East region and the domestic ship-building industry, which is implemented at the request of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation by Consortium JSC Rosneftegaz, PJSC Rosneft and JSC Gazprombank. The foundation was laid for construction of a complex in 2009. Solemn start of production of new shipyard took place on September 1, 2016 in the presence of the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

The ship-building complex, largest in the country, is created in the bay of the city the Big Stone of Primorsky Krai based on the Far East center of shipbuilding and ship repair (DTsSS) and the Far East plant "Zvezda".

The project of construction of SSK "Star" is implemented in several stages. Productive activity on objects of the first stage – the block of case productions, painting cameras and a heavy fitting-out building berth for production of medium-tonnage courts and marine facilities – is begun. The second queue provides putting into operation of dry dock and production workshops of a full stroke for production of heavy-tonnage vessels and marine facilities, in further plans – introduction of production workshops for construction of offshore marine facilities. Step-by-step commissioning of all complex of productions of SSK "Star" will be complete by the end of 2024.

"Star" – the Russia's first shipyard of large-capacity shipbuilding capable to satisfy needs of the Russian customers for construction of marine facilities for ensuring production of natural resources on the continental shelf of the country. Including the drilling platforms having an opportunity to work all the year round in the conditions of the Arctic and also commercial courts for transportation of loads on internal and external maritime routes, tankers like the "Aframaks" and "Suetsmaks" using gas fuel and answering to all latest environmental standards.

Pilot loading to a complex is provided by PJSC Rosneft which signed with JSC DTsSS the exclusive agreement on placement of all orders for construction of new marine facilities and courts at its capacities and also contracts for design, construction and delivery of multifunction supply vessels of the strengthened ice class.
