Rosneft will create the platform of IT monitoring from "zoo" of systems

Rosneft will develop a single system of monitoring of IT infrastructure and applications which is going to be used in the child organizations and also in branches of service division –"RN-Inform", follows from documentation published by the company in October, 2014.

At the time of start of the project in "subsidiaries" of Rosneft for monitoring of objects of IT infrastructure the multiple systems from different producers – in total more than 40 autonomous installations are used. Believe in the companies that such heterogeneity negatively influences the level of control and reliability of IT infrastructure and applications.

Among other problems of this row in Rosneft give lack of the uniform consolidated reporting system on monitoring, lack of automation of IT processes regarding event management, indefinite time of the solution of incidents, lack of a possibility of pro-active identification of problems in IT infrastructure.

In a monitoring system of IT infrastructure of Rosneft the status of tens of thousands of objects will be traced

The single system of monitoring will consist of subsystems of level of consolidation of data, subsystems of level of data collection and also data protection subsystems. During the project the single platform for monitoring of IT infrastructure and applications of the company in real time should be created.

At the level of consolidation of data and analytics integration of the multiple subsystems of level of data collection used in subsidiaries and also integration into the automation system of IT processes which is already used into the companies based on BMC Remedy will be provided. At the same time information from subsystems of level of data collection will be available in the single console.

In a system the possibility of formation of the detailed reporting under the selected objects of monitoring with a possibility of setup of detailing of criteria will also be implemented.

Based on expert evaluations and polls, IT infrastructure of Rosneft contains not less than 450 geographically distributed DPCs / server, belonging to more than 100 "subsidiaries" of the company, 4,500 server platforms, 150 DWH, 8,600 peripheral devices, 63,000 user workstations, 350 DBMS and application servers, etc.
