Shtokman Development AG is the joint project of three leading world companies: JSC Gazprom (51%), Total S.A. (25%) and Statoil ASA (24%) created in February, 2008 for solving of tasks of financing, design, construction and operation of objects of the first phase of mastering of the Shtokman gas-condensate field. The Shtokman gas-condensate field is located in the center of a shelf zone of the Russian sector of the Barents Sea at distance about 550 kilometers from the Kola Peninsula. On explored reserves of natural gas Shtokman is one of the largest fields in the world today.
