On October 31, 2025, a new fitness center with the Sibiryak ice arena was opened in the Kalachinsky district of the Omsk region. Its area exceeds 3 thousand square meters. m.
According to the press service of the Federal Budgetary Institution "RosStroyKontrol," the building has created all the infrastructure necessary for training and competitions: an ice arena, spectator stands, a skate rental point, premises for storing inventory, coaching and refereeing rooms, locker rooms and a medical office.
The construction of the facility was carried out under the supervision of specialists from FBU RosStroyKontrol. The representative of the institution in the Omsk region, Alexander Trebushenko, attended the opening ceremony of the new sports and recreation complex.
Trebushenko said that RosStroyKontrol specialists controlled each stage of construction and monitored the high quality of the materials used. "Residents of the district received an excellent sports complex that meets quality standards," he stressed.
The Governor of the Omsk Region Vitaly Khocenko said that the complex will become a popular place for family recreation. He expressed confidence that the number of residents engaged in physical education will increase.
The throughput of the center exceeds 1.3 thousand people per day. According to the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper, the Sibiryak ice arena meets the standards for holding all-Russian competitions in hockey, figure skating, short track and curling and will be available not only for professionals, but also for amateurs.
The first hockey match between the teams of the Kalachinsky and Gorky districts has already taken place in the new arena, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports. Governor Vitaly Khocenko and the head of the Kalachinsky district made a symbolic throw-in of the puck.[1][2]
