History

2022: Cherkizovo acquired the fast food chain Sibylla

On May 16, 2022, the Cherkizovo group announced the purchase of Sibylla fast food chain from the Finnish company Atria. The perimeter of the transaction included contracts for the supply of products to 4.4 thousand fast food outlets in Russia and the CIS countries, as well as equipment and recipes.

It is noted that for Atria, the Russian fast food network was not significant - net sales in the Russian Federation amounted to about 1.5% of the total net sales of the group.

This is not the first purchase of Atria assets by the Cherkizovo group. So, the latter acquired Pit-Product LLC, including the Pit Product brand and two modern meat processing complexes in the Leningrad region - a plant in the Gorelovo industrial zone near St. Petersburg and a site in Sinyavino (Kirovsky district of the Leningrad region). The total capacity of the two complexes allows producing 39 thousand tons of sausages, sausages and meat delicacies per year. Experts estimated this deal in the range of 2.5-3.3 billion rubles.

By May 2022, Cherkizovo is one of the three leaders in the markets for chicken meat, turkey meat and meat processing products. It includes 11 poultry complexes, 16 modern pig farms, 11 meat processing enterprises, as well as 9 feed mills and 300 thousand hectares of agricultural land.[1]
