2023: Revenue growth by 45% to RUB 25.5 billion

In 2023, Smartavia earned 25.5 billion rubles in revenue, which is 45% more than a year earlier. The airline's net profit during this time increased by 78% and reached a record 3.4 billion rubles. Such data on Russian accounting standards (RAS) were published at the end of March 2024.

According to Interfax, citing materials from the carrier, in 2023 its cost of sales amounted to 24 billion rubles, a decrease of 29% on an annualized basis. Gross profit rose by the same 29%, to 1.5 billion rubles.

Smartavia earned 25.5 billion rubles in revenue

Long-term obligations of Smartavia at the end of 2023 were measured at 532 million rubles (+ 19% compared to the previous year). Short-term liabilities amounted to 10.8 billion rubles (+ 90%), with most of them occupied by payables in the amount of 10.7 billion rubles (+ 90%). The company did not have borrowed funds either in 2022 or in 2023.

The agency notes that other revenues in the amount of more than 5 billion rubles (-29% compared to 2022), other expenses of 2.3 billion rubles (-26%), as well as management expenses that exceeded 580 million rubles (+ 25%) had a significant impact on the financial results of Smartavia in 2023.

According to Smartavia's own data, in 2023 the airline carried about 3.8 million passengers, which is 17% more than a year ago. Despite the impact of anti-Russian sanctions, in 2024 the company plans to maintain the volume of traffic at the level of 2023, according to the carrier's reports. Interfax draws attention to the fact that in 2022 Smartavia ranked eighth in terms of passenger traffic among Russian airlines.

By the end of 2023, the Smartavia fleet consisted of 11 Boeing 737 aircraft and two Airbus A320 aircraft. The company is based in Arkhangelsk, St. Petersburg and Moscow.[1]

History

2021: Renaming

On April S6, 2021, the full name of the company was changed from Nordavia - Regional Airlines JSC to Smartavia Airlines JSC.

2019: Route Network

As of April 2019, the geography of Nordavia flights covered a significant list of Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Anapa, Murmansk, Naryan-Mar, Sochi, Syktyvkar. Nordavia operates foreign flights.

Nordavia Airlines is a socially responsible carrier that supports air traffic on local lines: Arkhangelsk - Amderma, Naryan-Mar, Solovki, Usinsk.

2018

In 2018, the airline transported 1 million 190 thousand passengers. The airline has 12 jet passenger aircraft Boeing 737-500, -700, and -800, which meet the highest technical requirements and international safety standards.

2017

In 2017, the airline successfully passed another IOSA recertification audit, confirming the status of a safe carrier. The comprehensive safety indicator in 2018 was 99.98%. The SAFA ratio is 0.67. 9 Boeing 737-500 with economy and business class salons.

2016: Home Airports

Nordavia Regional Airlines operates scheduled and charter flights under the 5N code to more than 30 Russian and foreign airports. 1930

Nordavia is rightfully considered the date of its birth on February 4, 1930 - the Day of the first regular flight in the Russian North along the route Arkhangelsk - Ust-Sysolsk (Syktyvkar).
