2013: License revocation

In December 2013, the Bank of Russia revoked banking licenses from three banks at once. We are talking about Investbank, Project Financing Bank (BPF) and Smolensk Bank. All these credit institutions have lost their banking licences since December 13, 2013. The Central Bank said in a statement that the decision to revoke the Investment Bank license is due to the bank's failure to comply with the laws and regulations of the Bank of Russia, as well as the significant inaccuracy of the reporting data. According to the regulator, in the last two working days the bank experienced visible difficulties in fulfilling its full obligations to customers and depositors.
