Softweb Solutions is the consulting company specializing in development of the solutions for the Internet of things and systems of artificial intelligence. By December, 2018 Softweb has in total about 500 employees working at offices in the USA and India. The company custom-made more than 1400 projects of 600 clients, including Pepsi, Siemens, CA Technologies and Bosch.

History

2018: Avnet purchased Softweb Solutions

On December 12, 2018 Avnet announced purchase of Softweb Solutions and called this transaction in a root changing the market of Internet of Things. Acquisition value does not reveal, and the companies expect to close the transaction until the end of 2018.

Avnet is going to get in addition due to merger of Softweb on 5-10 cents earnings per share by 2021.

In the press release it is noted that the software with elements of artificial intelligence and also date services and opportunities for digital processes which are offered by Softweb will allow Avnet to project, develop and implement projects quicker. Besides, the transaction provides to the buyer an expanded ecosystem of software solutions which open opportunities for receiving the new repeating income increasing profitability of business.

According to him, after sale of IT-Business to the distributor of Tech Data the Avnet company more focused on electronic components and the integrated solutions that led to a big push in the market of Internet of Things which then was supported by purchases of hackster.io and Dragon Innovation companies and also investments into Hanhaa IoT-startup.[1]
