Solibri is the Finnish software maker for providing and quality control of the project based on OpenBIM and performance improvement of all design process

Solibri Model Checker (SMC) is the solution allowing to find potential errors of information models of the project even prior to installation and construction works. The program allows to execute deep check of BIM model of an object, to reveal collisions, to check compliance of model to requirements of the BIM standard, to compare models and to take necessary information. Thanks to SMC there is a possibility of reduction in cost of the project and time which is necessary on its accomplishment. Besides, it is possible to minimize impact on the environment due to reduction of waste and costs for materials.

Check of the BIM models using Solibri Model Checker is performed on the basis of the code of certain rules and reminds verification process of spelling in the text. As a result the user receives the report in which it is possible to see what errors, deviations from rules or a collision are in the project. One of features of the solution are powerful communication tools for reports generation including for graphical representation of results of check. At the same time an inspection can be carried out both for the project in general, and according to sections – for example, only by an architectural part.

Among unique opportunities of Solibri Model Checker there is expanded collision detection allowing to define, the arising problem is how serious – whether it is possible to solve it the minimum adjustments or it is necessary to make serious changes. Such categorization of collisions allows to accelerate and optimize design process and approvals of sections because the program focuses attention of designers on the most essential collisions of critical level of importance.

Also the solution allows to detect different deviations and discrepancies in the BIM models: lack of space, lack of volumes or necessary constructive components, properties or exceeding of certain parameters.
