History of Starbank

Starbank Ltd performs the activity in the market of banking services since 1980. The bank was created as department of Stroybank of the USSR which was transformed further to department of Promstroibank of the USSR.

1990: Creation of November commercial bank

In October, 1990 based on November specialized department of Promstroibank (Noyabrsk) the November commercial bank which participants generally were divisions of Noyabrskneftegaz Ltd was created.

On October 23, 1990 the Central bank of the Russian Federation registered November commercial bank (later the name is changed to November city bank) at No. 548.

2006: Renaming into Starbank

On December 26, 2006 General shareholder meeting made the decision on change of the name of November city Bank with Starbank Ltd. The new name is registered by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on May 04, 2007.

In October, 2008 the Head office of Bank was registered in Moscow.

In August, 2012 the Head office of Bank changed location and located at the address: Moscow, Butyrsky Val St., 68/70, building 1.

Activities

For 2013 a basis of business of bank are crediting of the commercial organizations and individuals, transactions with securities and also attraction of financial resources of the population in deposits and deposits.

For July, 2013 the bank has 17 sales points in 4 federal districts of the Russian Federation: Central, Volga, Ural and Siberian. Cities of presence of offices of Starbank: Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Magnitogorsk, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Omsk, Tyumen, Surgut, Noyabrsk, Gubkinsky, Muravlenko, Salekhard.

Licenses

The bank works at the basis of license for banking operations No. 548 with means in rubles and foreign currency (without the attraction right in deposits of funds of individuals) of April 12, 2013 and license for banking operations No. 548 on attraction in deposits of funds of individuals in rubles and foreign currency of April 12, 2013. Has licenses of the prof participant of the securities market for conducting broker and dealer activity and also the securities management and to implementation of depository activity. Starbank Ltd is a participant of a system of compulsory deposit insurance, number according to the register 485 of January 20, 2005.

Ratings

In June, 2013 AK&М Rating Agency Ltd improved credit rating of Starbank Ltd to level "A" with the stable forecast. Increase in rating is caused by positive dynamics of key performance indicators of Bank. Own means for 2012 increased by 340.3 million rubles, or 30.7% (on a banking system of the Russian Federation the gain for the same period made 16.6%). As of May 1, 2013 equity grew by 280.5 million rubles (19.4%) since the beginning of the current year. In 2012 assets grew by 1,932.2 million rubles, or 16.7%. As of April 1, 2013 assets of Bank were estimated at 14,970.8 million rubles that on 1,485 million rubles (11%) it is more, than for the beginning of the current year. Rates of a gain of household deposits for 2012 and the I quarter 2013 exceed the corresponding indicators on a banking system. At the end of 2012 profit increased to taxation by 2.2 times, after taxation — by 10 times.

The RAEX rating agency also improved credit rating of Starbank to level A "The high level of solvency", the forecast for rating "stable". As of 5/1/2013 the value of assets of Bank under RAS was 15.0 billion rubles (the 195th place in a ranking of Expert of RA), the amount of equity — 1.7 billion rubles.
