Start Development

Start Development enables the complex realization of construction projects. The number of functions which are performed by Start Development includes everything - from drawing up the architectural concept and the investment attraction, before construction of facilities of commercial, living spaces and infrastructure and also control of stages of implementation of projects. Also Zakhar Smushkin's company makes the necessary procedures accompanying construction – preparation of documentation, development of concepts of development of territories, formation of land banks.

For 2018 the volume of land bank of the company of Zakhar Smushkin exceeds 40 million square meters. During the work Start Development already implemented several projects on construction of country housing in the North and the South of St. Petersburg.

2018

Industrial park "Donnie Verevo"

Among projects of commercial construction by the largest there was an industrial park "Donnie Verevo", in the Gatchina district of St. Petersburg. The area of the industrial park is 185 hectares. For 2018 it is planned that on its square more than 30 enterprises which are engaged in production or logistics will be able shortly to be located. This project will also be able positively to influence development of city economy as will concentrate in himself the modern enterprises and will create a large number of jobs.

Construction of the satellite town of Yuzhny and "Innovation center of science and technologies"

The largest project in which implementation Zakhar Smushkin's company – construction of the satellite town of Yuzhny is engaged. Under the decree of the prime minister Russia Dmitry Medvedev it was given the status of federal importance as southern will become the largest complex mastering of the territory in the Russian Federation. Investments into construction of Youzhny in 2018 reached volume in 209 billion rubles.

The satellite town should be built in Pushkin district of St. Petersburg, along Kiyevskoye Highway, to the area of 2012 hectares. Such territory will allow to accomodate at least 170 thousand people and to create 21 thousand jobs.

This project differs not only in scale, but also the innovation approach in design. The concept of the city was made by the principles of green-development. In spite of the fact that abroad similar projects began to be implemented 20 years ago, in Russia it will become the first.

The principles of what construction assume comfortable object embedding of infrastructure to the environment with the minimum harm to the nature. For example, in Youzhny electricity for street lighting will turn out using solar batteries.

The architectural concept of all city is developed with involvement of world specialists. For its integral implementation construction will be performed by one large company which was also investing in the project. In the project of the city all infrastructure necessary for future residents is considered. 60 kindergartens, 30 comprehensive schools, 10 wide-profile medical centers will be built. Also in the city there will be a set of green zones and bicycle tracks.

For the purpose of decrease in traffic the number of bands on Kiyevskoye Highway will be increased. Besides, in the territory of Youzhny 2 stations of electric trains are located. In seven minutes drive on the car there is an international airport Pulkovo.

Except residential and commercial housing, in the city the innovation cluster will also be located. In 2018 it is planned that it will be created with involvement of specialists of the St. Petersburg Institute of technologies, mechanics and optics.

The innovation cluster will receive the name "Innovation Center of Science and Technologies". Its total area will be 100 hectares. On it laboratories, lecture halls and a campus will be located that will allow to place 4 thousand students and 3 thousand employees of ITMO.

The cluster will allow to perform all production stages of the innovation products. Quantum, information and biomedical technologies, robotics, urbanistics and the cyberphysical systems will enter specialization of Innovation center.

The Minister of Communications Nikolai Nikiforov noted that this cluster will become the best center of innovations in the Russian Federation. Annual federal financing of Innovation center will make one billion rubles.

More than 41 billion rubles are invested in creation of a cluster for April, 2018, a third of this amount is provided by private businessmen. Smushkin Zakhar Davidovich also invested the means in this project.

2011: Purchase of 74% of JSC Leningradskiye oblastnye kommunalnye sistemy

In August, 2011 the JSC Start Development company of Zakhar Smushkin at biddings acquired 74% of shares of JSC Leningradskiye oblastnye kommunalnye sistemy which is engaged water - and heat supply of the Leningrad Region^[1].

2007: Zakhar Smushkin founds Start Development

In 2007 Zakhar Smushkin opened development company of Start Development.

Awards

By April, 2018 on the account of the company of 11 awards, among them "The best project of low building" and "The best management company of year". Also START Development have a nomination handed for rendering the address help to children.
