2024: Macro Group sued 25 million rubles from the manufacturer of telecom equipment "Supertel"

On July 19, 2024, the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region partially satisfied the claim of Macro Group LLC against Supertel OJSC. The proceedings are related to the recovery of the principal amount for the goods supplied.

According to Telesputnik, the statement of claim of Macro Group indicated the amount of debt in the amount of approximately $256.15 thousand for "the largest effective in the period from the moment of issuing the relevant invoice to the moment of actual payment to the US dollar rate established by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation." In addition, the plaintiffs asked the court to oblige Supertel to pay penalties in the amount of $52.89 thousand at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation as of the date of write-off of funds from the debtor's current account. Thus, the total declared amount of debt exceeded $309 thousand, or about 26.3 million rubles at the exchange rate as of July 25, 2024.

The court decided to recover from the manufacturer of telecom equipment "Supertel" the amount of the principal debt in the amount of $256.15 thousand, as well as $28.37 thousand penalties as of February 22, 2024 at the rate of the Central Bank at the time of actual payment of the debt. In addition, the defendants will have to pay more than 148 thousand rubles in compensation for the costs of paying the state duty. Thus, the court recovered in favor of Macro Group a total of approximately $284.52 thousand, or almost 25 million rubles.

The rest of the claim is denied. The decision can be appealed to the Thirteenth Arbitration Court of Appeal within one month from the date of its issuance, the ruling says.

Telesputnik also reports that Enter Electronics LLC sent a statement to the court against Supertel. The plaintiffs are asked to recover the debt from the defendants, the amount of which exceeds 4.7 million rubles. The first meeting on this case will take place on September 30, 2024.^[1]
