History
The Syzran refinery is part of the Samara group of refineries acquired by Rosneft in May 2007.
The capacity of the refinery is 8.9 million tons (65.1 million barrels) of oil per year. The plant processes West Siberian oil (produced by Yuganskneftegaz), as well as oil produced by the company in the Samara region (Samaraneftegaz). The plant's secondary processing facilities include catalytic reforming, fuel hydrotreating, catalytic and thermal cracking, isomerization, alkylation, bitumen and gas fractionation plants. The plant produces a wide range of petroleum products, including high-quality motor fuel, jet fuel, bitumen. Prior to the acquisition of the Syzran Refinery, Rosneft processed significant volumes of its own oil on processing terms.

History
2025: Ukrainian drone attack leads to fire
In February 2025, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the Syzran refinery with drones at night, and a fire began.
