2021: Creation of an unmanned vehicle software company
At the end of April 2021, car parts manufacturer Toyota Industries, which, along with auto giant Toyota Motor, is part of the Toyota group, announced the creation of a new T-Hive company. It will specialize in the development of software for unmanned vehicles.
According to the press service of Toyota Industries, the created company will act as a center of expertise, within the framework of which software products, partnership transactions and innovations of subsidiaries Toyota L & F, Toyota Material Handling, Toyota Material Handling Europe, Raymond, Bastian Solutions and Vastian Solutions will be combined.
The new company is registered in Holland. Its CEO is Léon Jansen. T-Hive will focus on creating a unified management system for all Toyota Industries Corporation self-driving machines, such as automated forklifts (AGF), automated vehicles (AGV) and autonomous mobile robots (AMR). The combined portfolio of solutions will be presented at logistics enterprises around the world, which will allow Toyota Industries customers to freely move, store and distribute goods throughout the supply chain, the press release said.
