History

2022: EY bought T-Plus Consulting

In early February 2022, EY bought T-Plus Consulting, a consulting company specializing in M&A transactions. The company did not disclose the financial component of the transaction.

The acquisition was made through a division of EY-Parthenon, which was formed in 2014 when EY acquired The Parthenon Group.

EY bought T-Plus Consulting

The South Korean company T-Plus Consulting was the first acquisition of EY-Parthenon in Asia since its inception. The deal will increase the number of employees of the company by about 30 people.

The deal expands EY-Parthenon's strategic offerings in the B2C and B2B industries in South Korea, the company said. According to EY, the expansion of capabilities and capacity will support EY's competitive position, especially with respect to mergers and acquisitions, as well as value creation strategies for acquiring companies.

T-Plus Consulting founder Dongbom Byun noted:

We are excited to join EY-Parthenon where we will be able to maintain our close relationship with customers by providing more efficient and enhanced services to customers as a result of synergies between T-Plus strategic consulting and EY network experience and talent worldwide.

The deal took place three months after EY-Parthenon acquired CMA Strategy Consulting, a US-headquartered company specializing in technology, media and telecommunications.^[1]
