TIKR.ru is social network of investors in the Russian actions. Initially service was created as search engine on the Russian stocks. Provides to the users stock quotations of the companies traded at the largest Russian exchanges MICEX and RTS.

Registration

Registration is performed by invitations. The administration of service is loyal to new users: to be registered it is necessary to specify the e-mail and, as a rule, the invitation will be sent.

History of creation

On May 15, 2008 the project was started in the closed testing for a limited user group.

On May 21, 2008 it is considered date of official opening of the project.

On October 28, 2008 there was a service of forecasts of actions on the basis of "wisdom of crowd".

On December 10, 2008 the social network of investors is officially started.

Merits and demerits

  • There are no other exchanges except MICEX and RTS. Authors of the project consider that for the western exchanges there are advanced tools of the analysis and tracking.
  • Quotations are provided with a 15-minute delay

Competitors

There are no websites with similar interactive charts in Runet at the moment. The similar infomation is provided by Quote.Ru and Finam.

English-speaking competitors — Yahoo! Finance, Google Finance and MSN Money, but they do not provide data from MICEX and RTS.
