2024: Construction of a factory for the production of industrial robots for 1.4 billion rubles
In June 2024, a factory for the production of industrial robots began to be built in the Samara region. For this, the government of the Samara region and Tesvel LLC signed an agreement on the implementation of an investment project for the construction of a plant for the production of industrial robots. The agreement was signed by Dmitry Bogdanov, Acting Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Samara Region, and Sergei Morshansky, Director of Tesvel.
The launch of a production site for the assembly of industrial robots is scheduled in the Preobrazhenka industrial park. The total investment in the project will amount to more than 1.4 billion rubles. It is expected that the implementation of the project will create about 50 new jobs and bring the Samara region to a leading position in the segment of industrial robotics in Russia.
In theAt the initial stage, it is planned to assemble the four most popular robot models using imported components. In the future, the company intends to master the production of part of the components on its own. A roadmap has already been developed to increase the level of localization of production. By 2030, the plant plans to produce up to 50% of components within the country.
Sergey Morshansky stressed that the demand for specialists in each industry significantly exceeds the supply, which stimulates the growth of the robotization market. According to him, earlier the increase in the number of industrial robots in Russia was 30-40% annually, but now this figure has grown significantly. Of particular interest are not only industrial robots, but also service robots, mobile robotic complexes and palletizer robots.
The Tesvel company plans to launch production for the assembly of industrial robots in Samara in 2024. The company already has experience in the field of automation and robotization of production, actively working in this direction for the past thirteen years. Under Western sanctions, Russian enterprises were forced to look for alternatives to European and Japanese robots, and Tesvel successfully reoriented itself to Chinese manufacturers.[1]
