History and performance indicators

2019: Rebranding

On April 1, 2019, SIA (LLC) Lattelecom officially changed its name to SIA (LLC) Tet. On April 2, the usual names of Wi-Fi networks changed, and throughout April it was planned to change the design of stores. The company intends to move to Tet gradually so that customers do not need to take any additional actions.

On April 2, the updated visual image and the name Tet have already received Lattelecom stores in Riga (in Alfa and on Dzirnavu St.) and Rezekne. They will be followed by a store in Akropole, as well as stores in Liepaja, Cesis and Jekabpils, while the remaining Lattelecom stores should switch to an updated brand during April.[1]

2008

The performance of Lattelecom in 2008, as well as other companies, was significantly affected by inflation - rising prices for labor, utilities and energy resources. In turn, the economic downturn in Latvia had a significant impact in the second half of 2008.

2008 marked the fact that mobile service providers continued to rapidly enter the market for Internet access services, and these trends influenced the fact that Lattelecom had to compete with mobile operators not only in voice services, but also in the market for Internet access services.
