2021: Pernod Ricard bought The Whisky Exchange

At the end of September 2021, the French alcohol producer Pernod Ricard announced the acquisition of The Whisky Exchange at a price that the companies did not disclose.

The deal is in line with Pernod Ricard's strategy, in which the company focuses on consumers and seeks to meet their new requirements and expectations in the face of a growing e-commerce market and high demand for premium products. Pernod Ricard will leverage synergies between The Whisky Exchange experience and its own platforms such as Drinks & Co and Bodeboca.

The Whisky Exchange founders Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh noted that after the change of ownership, the company will continue to follow its task - to offer the best range of whiskey and strong drinks from the best manufacturers from around the world, educate and attract consumers, as well as support the best trading establishments throughout the UK. Whisky Exchange will continue its operations in its previous composition and structure, and the Singh brothers will manage the business as joint managing directors.

As of September 2021, The Whisky Exchange catalog contains 4 thousand varieties of whiskey, including 3 thousand single malt Scotch whiskey, 400 champagne, 800 cognac and armagnac, 700 rum, 600 gins, 300 aperitifs, 400 tequila and mezcals. The company has three stores.^[1]
