The decree on creation of the Constitutional assembly was signed by the head of state on May 17, 2012. This "subsidiary body" will be engaged in preparation of the bill of introduction of amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine and also will organize their public and professional discussion.
As expected (July, 2012), the ready bill will be submitted for consideration to the president no later than the beginning of 2014. The first meeting of the Constitutional assembly took place on June 20, 2012.
