As of October, 2019 the Federal State Institution "GB of ITU across Altai Krai" performs the following functions: carries out medico-social expertize of citizens on the basis of assessment of restrictions of life activity, develops individual programs of rehabilitation of disabled people, determines the fact of existence of disability, group, the reasons, term and time of approach of disability, defines extent of loss of professional working capacity, defines needs of injured occupational accidents and occupational diseases in medical, social and employment rehabilitation and develops programs of rehabilitation of victims, etc.
