2022: Production shutdown due to sanctions amid conflict in Ukraine

The Tikhvin Car Building Plant was shut down in early June 2022 until the end of the month. There are no bearings available that were previously supplied by American suppliers. A domestic analogue has not yet been found. There is no production of new cars, no repair of old ones. In the idle hours of one of the largest manufacturers of freight cars there are about 7,000 workers.
