2025: Patient's death during the procedure
In the Moscow cosmetology clinic Titania on Rubtsovskaya embankment on January 14, 2025, a 40-year-old patient died during a cosmetological procedure. The cause of death was previously named an acute allergic reaction to a medical drug.
According to the Msk1, a woman after the administration of the drug developed a severe allergic reaction, which caused a rash and a subsequent epileptic seizure with a fatal outcome. The procedure was carried out in a clinic owned by Amatika Premium LLC.
The Basmanny interdistrict prosecutor's office confirmed the fact of the incident and began checking the circumstances of the incident. Employees of the supervisory authority work on the spot.
The Investigative Committee of Russia initiated an audit under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "causing death by negligence due to improper performance by a person of his professional duties." Investigators seize service and medical documentation to establish a complete picture of what happened.
In the near future, a set of forensic examinations, including medical, will be appointed to determine the exact cause of the patient's death and assess the correctness of the cosmetological procedure.
The owner and director of the clinic, Anna Chirkunova, refrained from commenting, citing the work of investigators at the institution. The company has a medical license for cosmetic procedures, therapy, vaccination and massage.
The deceased was a native of the Volgograd region, graduated from the Volgograd Social Pedagogical University. In Moscow, she worked in a network of stores selling men's underwear in shopping centers in the capital.
The sister of the deceased confirmed that the clinic reported the patient's visit on the day of the tragedy. At work, the woman was on the day off, so her colleagues were not aware of her plans for the day.[1]
