2023: Revenue growth doubled to RUB 30.5 billion

The largest manufacturer of semi-trailers in Russia "Tonar" at the end of 2023 doubled revenue in comparison with 2022 - up to 30.5 billion rubles. The company's net profit in comparison with the same segments of time increased eightfold and reached 4.6 billion rubles. Such data are presented in the financial statements (according to RAS), which was published in April 2024.

The cost of sales of Tonar Machine-Building Plant LLC (Orekhovo-Zuevo) in 2023 amounted to 23.7 billion rubles, which is 1.9 times more than a year earlier. Gross profit increased 4.3 times, to 6.7 billion rubles.

According to Interfax, referring to the company's materials, its commercial expenses in 2023 reached 1.2 billion rubles (an increase of 2.4 times), management costs - 473.3 million rubles (+ 29%). Other revenues of Tonar in 2023 increased 3.4 times, to 5.5 billion rubles. The same dynamics is recorded in the column "other expenses."

By the end of 2023, the total debt of the semi-trailer manufacturer amounted to 8.5 billion rubles, an increase of 1.9 times on an annualized basis. Short-term borrowed funds accounted for 1.2 billion rubles of debt (an increase of 2.9 times compared to 2022), payables - 5.8 billion rubles (an increase of 1.9 times), long-term borrowed funds - 1.3 billion rubles (an increase of 1.9 times).

In 2023, Tonar increased the supply of semi-trailers by 46% compared to 2022 - to 8.2 thousand units. The production of semi-trailers-grain trucks rose by 82%, semi-trailers-container trucks - by 80%, refrigerated and isothermal semi-trailers - by 73%. Tonar's share in the Russian market, according to the manufacturer's own estimates for 2023, among all semi-trailer manufacturers amounted to 26%, among Russian - 40%.^[1]

The basis of the enterprise is a production complex in the village of Gubino, Orekhovo-Zuevsky district of the Moscow region. The plant covers an area of ​ ​ 19.1 hectares. The total area of ​ ​ the premises is 44,944 sq.m. Finished product warehouse - 6 ha. The plant employs more than 700 people.

Production covers the entire technological cycle: from development, manufacture, assembly to sales of finished products and service.

At the plant, robotic complexes of plasma metal cutting, welding of bodies, sides, assemblies and axle beams are installed.
