2019: Purchase by EMC company for 1 billion rubles

On December 11, 2019 it became known of sale of Topatomklinik LLC to one of the medical holdings European Medical Center (EMC), largest in Russia. The buyer will act as the investor of the center of the positron emission tomography (PET) in Novosibirsk.

According to Kommersant with reference to data and the USRLE, EMC purchased Topatomklinik through child International Oncological Center LLC. The cost of the transaction is unknown.

Topatomklinik in October, 2019 received the positive decision of Glavgosekspertiza on construction of the PET-center in Novosibirsk, capable to service 15 thousand patients a year. Initially the Hungarian company Polus Kft which was going to invest 16 million euros had to invest in the project (Coca of 1.12 billion rubles at the rate of for December 11, 2019).

The object expected 18 thousand researches a year is going be put in operation in 2021. Branches of the center will be in the long term open in the Tomsk and Kemerovo regions and also in Altai Krai.

It is supposed that the center completely will close needs of regions of Western Siberia for PET-services. The Novosibirsk region is included into ten subjects with the greatest share of patients with oncological diseases, the managing partner of task force of Veta Ilya Zharsky says. According to him, about 80 thousand such patients are registered in the region.

By estimates of the chairman of the board of MIBS Arcadia Stolpner, PET-diagnostics cost in Russia can reach 40 thousand rubles, and, despite the growing demand, the service remains unavailable to most of patients. Without support from the authorities of the market can not be enough also for one player, he warns.

Is going to construct the oncological center with PET in Novosibirsk also Victor Haritonin's Medinvestgroup — the owner of the large supplier of drugs Pharmstandard.[1]
