2014: Renaming in "Transneft – the Urals"
On December 16, 2014 it became known that "Uralo-Sibirskiye magistralnye nefteprovody imeni D. A. Chernyaeva" Open Joint Stock Company (JSC Uralsibnefteprovod) is renamed into Joint-stock company Transneft — the Urals (JSC Transneft — the Urals). On December 10, 2014 the corresponding record about change of the name is made in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
Renaming is provided by the Program of strategic development of JSC Transneft until 2020 (the second stage of rebranding of the company) and is made for the purpose of standardization of names of the child organizations under a brand Transneft in all territory of the Russian Federation.
The name "Transneft — the Urals" indicates not only territorial accessory of the company, but also an impressive area of responsibility, confirms that great value which work of JSC Transneft — the Urals has for smooth functioning of all system of pipeline transport of Russia.
