2024: Open plants

On July 18, 2024, the official opening of the Tulpar Motors automobile plant took place in Kyrgyzstan. The plant, located on an area of ​ ​ 4.7 hectares, will produce cars, trucks and buses. The project was implemented by the Kyrgyz OsOO "DT-Technik" together with the Uzbek JSC UzAuto.

The construction of the plant began in May 2023, and the total investment in the project amounted to $50 million. The implementation stages include the organization of a large nodal assembly of cars with a volume of up to 10 thousand units, creation of 100 new jobs, as well as the production of auto components for 20 thousand cars in 4-5 years with the creation of 400 new jobs. In the sixth year after the start of large assembly, it is planned to organize a small assembly with a total production of 30 thousand cars and the creation of 1 thousand new jobs.

The first automobile plant opened in Kyrgyzstan

To ensure the availability of domestic vehicles, preferential lending conditions are provided. State banks Eldik Bank Ayyl Bank and offer the project "Preferential Car Loans" with an interest rate of 8% per annum and a minimum down payment of 20% of the loan value. The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan also took measures to simplify the certification of vehicles, the provision of customs and tax preferences, exemption from payment of fees during the initial registration of vehicles and preferences in public procurement.

The plant will specialize in the production of passenger cars, trucks and buses using General Motors technology. The company will produce about 20 models of vehicles, including Chevrolet Tracker, Onix and Cobalt, as well as commercial vehicles: trucks based on ISUZU NPR75L and ISUZU NMR77H chassis, ISUZU D-MAX pickups, city low-floor buses SAZ LE60 and SAZ HD50 intercity buses. By the end of 2024, it is planned to produce 950-960 units of vehicles.[1]
