The Typhoon Digital Development (TDD) venture fund was created at the end of 2013 on the basis of the consolidation of several successful Internet companies. The fund manages a portfolio of assets with a total valuation of more than $10 million and continues to grow.

The fund is looking for high-quality projects in digital that have already proven themselves, as well as teams of young Internet entrepreneurs who are ready to implement promising ideas. Since its foundation, TDD has been cooperating with the Foundation for the Development of Internet Initiatives (FRII) and launched its startup aggregator.

The Fund provides administrative support to the projects selected for investment for accelerated growth, as well as provides financial and legal expertise to organize the company according to international standards.

History

2021: Sale of Brain4Net Carrier Software Developer Stake

On October 27, 2021, it became known about the sale of Programmable Networks LLC (Brain4Net brand) to Kaspersky Lab. The latter bought an 80% stake in the developer of solutions for operators from Rostelecom and venture funds Typhoon Digital Development and LETA Capital. The remaining 20% will be retained by the founders of Brain4Net Maxim Kaminsky, Alexander Rumyankov and Sergey Romanov. More details here.

2020: Purchase of the developer of billing systems "Berkut"

At the end of February 2020, it became known about the sale of NPF Berkut T2 RTK to the holding (telecom operator, operates under the Tele2 trademark). About this "Vedomosti" told the owner of the venture fund Typhoon Digital Development ("TD Media" belongs to the fund) Oleg Bratisko. 2018: Typhoon Digital Development buys 100% of Golden Eagle shares

In October 2018, it became known that the Typhoon Digital Development venture fund acquired a 100% stake in Berkut NPF LLC, a St. Petersburg billing provider whose services are used by at least 300 million subscribers. The parties do not disclose the amount of the transaction, while analysts estimate it at 1.5-2 billion rubles.

TDD managing partner Oleg Bratisko told Kommersant that Berkut has several promising areas for development. In particular, we are talking about the implementation of the concept of "Other Rules," which provides for the provision of the most modern services to subscribers, including billing functionality, as well as the development of virtual mobile operators (MVNO) in the segment. In addition, the new owner intends to enter the emerging markets of North Africa and the Middle East.
