2020: Rosbank creates management company

On August 26, 2020 it became known of creation of management company by Rosbank. It was headed by Oleg Galkin who was earlier working in UK "Uralsib" and BKS.

According to Kommersant with reference to the reporting of Rosbank, at the end of June, 2020 operation on acquisition of 100% of UK RB Capital LLC was completed. The legal entity is registered on June 11 in the location of credit institution. Documents for obtaining the license will be sent to the Central Bank "upon their readiness".

Rosbank already had an experience of creation of UK — in 2001 the investment banking group included the company of the same name. But in the 2008th it passed into financial holding of Mikhail Prokhorov. Rosbank is more than attempts to enter collective investment market did not make, but in recent years against the background of falling of deposit rates private investors in large quantities became interested in opportunities of trust management.

Rosbank creates management company

By estimates of the market participants polled by the edition, start of the company, average by the sizes, on start requires not less than 100 million rubles, 50 — 100 million more rubles a year will be required on business maintenance. That UK reached payback, net assets value in management should exceed 5 billion rubles, interlocutors believe. If the company wants to develop, assets should exceed 10 billion rubles which less remuneration will bring to bank 150 million rubles.

Creation of management company from scratch is a difficult and expensive process on which not less than a year can leave. According to the top manager of large UK whom Kommersant contacted, during this time it is possible to create a line of retail mutual funds, DU, IIS and to begin to sell them in a bonus segment.

Taking into account such passive base as at Rosbank, was strange that they still did not create own UK, the interlocutor of the newspaper in financial market notes.[1]
