2025: UserGate Cyber Lab Opens

UserGate opened a regional educational and research laboratory in Izhevsk at the site of Udmurt State University (UdSU). About a hundred students will be able to undergo annual specialized training in it. Future specialists will receive the necessary competencies to solve complex problems in the field of practical information security. UserGate announced this on November 28, 2025.

The creation of a laboratory is just the beginning of our cooperation with Udmurt State University. The most talented students of the university can apply for a company scholarship, there is also an opportunity to go through production practice with us, and the children who have become the best according to the selection results - a paid internship with the prospect of becoming part of the friendly team of UserGate or our partners. This is the company's contribution to the preparation of scarce IT personnel, assistance to the university and the industry as a whole, "said Margarita Zaytseva, director of the UserGate Academy.

UserGate Laboratory in UdSU is a high-tech platform. The university will use the partner's educational and methodological materials aimed at administering and managing infrastructure security tools for conducting practical classes. The material base of the location can be integrated into the organization of new educational courses, which will also be available as part of cooperation. Teachers and students of the university will be able to undergo training on the basis of the laboratory and receive appropriate professional certification, - said the rector of Udmurt State University Galina Merzlyakova.
