Launch of a new plant for the production of wood boards for construction in the Kaluga region for 6.7 billion rubles

On December 12, 2025, in the Kaluga Region, on the territory of the Lyudinovskaya site of the Kaluga special economic zone, a new plant for the production of binding materials and the Design Center belonging to the Ultradecor group of companies were opened. This is the second production facility introduced by the company in the region in 2025.

According to the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia (AKIT RF), the plant's production facilities are designed to produce 171 thousand tons of resins and 45 thousand tons of formalin annually. The amount of investments invested in the project reached 6.7 billion rubles. The Design Center, created as part of the enterprise structure, will specialize in the development of new technological solutions for the woodworking industry.

The launch of new production is part of a strategy to form a full cycle. Five production lines were gradually created at the Lyudinovskaya site: the production of MDF (medium-density fiberboard), the production of decorative paper, the manufacture of layered plastics, printing and impregnation of materials, as well as the manufacture of chipboard (chip board).

The Governor of the Kaluzhskaya Region Vladislav Shapsha said that the implementation of the project demonstrates significant success. He stressed that the production of high-quality products on modern equipment is carried out even in difficult external conditions.

General Director of Ultradecor Group Ardasher Kurbansho expressed satisfaction with cooperation with the region, calling the Kaluga region the optimal choice for investors. He confirmed that all the obligations of the regional authorities to create the necessary infrastructure were fully fulfilled and on time.^[1]

Plant start-up

On April 14, 2025, in the special economic zone of the industrial and production type Kaluga"" Kaluga region the plant for the production of particle boards (chipboard) of the Ultradecor chipboard company was launched. The volume of investments under the project amounted to 22 billion. rubles

The start of the work of the new timber industry enterprise via video link was given by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The uniqueness of the Ultradecor Chipboard site is that for the first time in Russia, without European equipment, low-grade wood has been processed into particle boards for the manufacture of domestic furniture.

About 200 jobs have been formed at the new plant. The average salary of employees (excluding management) exceeds 110 thousand rubles. The estimated capacity of the enterprise is 900 thousand cubic meters of chipboard produced per year. The plant is equipped with four chipboard lamination lines capable of processing up to 72 million square meters of products annually. It is alleged that at the time of launch, the new company Ultradecor Chipboard is the world's largest chipboard plant.

In the Kaluga region, a new cluster has been formed, new specializations promising for the region - deep wood processing, I draw attention to low-grade wood.
