2025: Launch of a new plant in Cheboksary for the production of electrical equipment
In April 2025, Cheboksary launched a new plant, Unitel Engineering LLC, for the production of electrical equipment for automating substations and power systems. The opening ceremony of the production was held by the head of the Chuvash Republic Oleg Nikolaev.
According to RIA Novosti, the second stage of the production site of the enterprise with a total area of 4175 square meters was built in one year. Almost 200 jobs were created at the new plant, which made it possible to significantly expand the company's production capacity.
The launch of a new production will increase production by 40% - up to 1,100 relay cabinets and 4,000 serial products per year. The equipment produced at the plant will be used at the facilities of the fuel and energy complex of Russia, as well as exported to friendly countries of near and far abroad, including the states included in the BRICS.
The head of Chuvashia, Oleg Nikolaev, noted that electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, machine tool building and chemistry are the main locomotive directions of the republic's economy. According to him, each new production site provides technological leadership and allows you to create individual solutions for any needs and requests. In addition, the creation of new jobs makes a real contribution to the region's economy, the well-being of families and the future of young professionals.
During the opening ceremony, participants were shown samples of cabinets and equipment produced by the company, as well as a presentation of technical solutions of Unitel Engineering LLC.
According to the government of the Chuvash Republic, the new plant will become not only an important production facility, but also a center for the introduction of new technologies and developments in the field of automation of energy systems. The project provides for the use of modern production processes and equipment, which will ensure high efficiency and reliability of the products.[1]
