2013
On July 1, 2013, Uponor and KWH Group formed a joint venture, Uponor Infra, which became the leading provider of infrastructure solutions in Northern Europe, operating worldwide.
2015
In 2015, Uponor announced the signing of contracts providing for the purchase of 100% of the shares of KaMo Group and Delta Systemtechnik GmbH. The deal will expand the product portfolio and strengthen the innovative potential of the Upper Group.
The company is KaMo engaged in the development and sale of systems for local and central heating. Under the leadership of Managing Directors Melanie Kloker and Michael Schmol, the KaMo Group will continue its activities in Eingen, southern Germany, where the current staff will be involved. "Uponor is an ideal partner capable of combining the technical development of KaMo and the capabilities of a strong international company," said Melanie Klocker, a representative of the management of KaMo Group.
Delta Systemtechnik GmbH will continue to work with the existing state under the leadership of Managing Director Thomas Huck. The company produces hot water plants for central hot water supply systems, as well as heat supply stations and components for hot water supply systems and heating systems. Production facilities and the main office of the company, founded in 2004, will remain in Celle, northern Germany. "Integration into the Uponor Group will further enhance the growth dynamics of our relatively young company," said Thomas Huck, Managing Director of Delta Systemtechnik.
KaMo and Delta will continue to be responsible for their sales in Germany and the UK. Sales in other markets will be managed by Uponor. In recent years, both companies have shown double-digit growth rates. In 2014, the combined total turnover of both companies with a staff of 119 employees was 32.8 million euros.
